ISO/DIS 37014, 2

Normative references

The draft's public contents entry 2, with what it does, what it means for a controlled group and what to keep. This page is our statement of the public structure and the model, not the draft's text.

01The clause

What this part of the draft does

The draft points to two standards as normative references: ISO 37000, its guidance on how an organization is governed, and ISO 37004, its guidance on the maturity model for that governance. Both are undated references, so the current edition of each applies. That matters because ISO 37000 supplies the eleven principles and the seven governance conditions the model measures, and ISO 37004 supplies the scale, the aspects and the aggregation rule.

02The practice

What it means when you apply it

A reader who wants to apply the draft needs both texts. This site reads the model from the ISO 37004:2023 edition, and names ISO 37000:2021 for the principles and conditions. Where this site states a requirement, it points to the clause it came from.

The clause reference is the draft's public contents heading. From clause 4 onwards the body is not in the free preview, so this page states the public heading, the model it draws on and our own reading, and does not present the draft's text.

03What to record

What to keep beside the evaluation

The editions you read, with their dates, kept with the evaluation file. When either edition changes, the evaluation design is checked against it.

  • The clause reference and the edition you read, so a later reader can check it.
  • The decision it supports, with an owner and a date.
  • The link to the requirement rows it frames, so the clause is not an orphan page in the file.
