ISO/DIS 37014, A

Governance maturity evaluation worked example

The draft's public contents entry A, with what it does, what it means for a controlled group and what to keep. This page is our statement of the public structure and the model, not the draft's text.

01The clause

What this part of the draft does

Annex A is a worked example. Its contents list runs from the scenario overview through the measurement activities, the implementation, the aggregation, the appropriateness decision and the targets, to a conclusion. It is informative: it shows one way to apply the model, not a second set of requirements.

02The practice

What it means when you apply it

A worked example is the fastest way to see the scale in use. Read it after clause 6, with your own boundary map beside it, and note where the example's choices would not fit your group. The annex body is not in the public preview, so this site describes the steps the contents list names and the method in ISO 37004 clause 6.5, and says so.

The clause reference is the draft's public contents heading. From clause 4 onwards the body is not in the free preview, so this page states the public heading, the model it draws on and our own reading, and does not present the draft's text.

03What to record

What to keep beside the evaluation

Your own worked example for one entity, kept beside the full evaluation, as a calibration check on the raters.

  • The clause reference and the edition you read, so a later reader can check it.
  • The decision it supports, with an owner and a date.
  • The link to the requirement rows it frames, so the clause is not an orphan page in the file.

The annex body is not in the public preview. This page describes the step the draft's contents list names and the method in ISO 37004:2023 clause 6.5, and labels it as such.
