ISO/DIS 37014, A.4

Aggregation of the results

The draft's public contents entry A.4, with what it does, what it means for a controlled group and what to keep. This page is our statement of the public structure and the model, not the draft's text.

01The clause

What this part of the draft does

The contents list names aggregation. The model aggregates by aspect, by dimension and for the group, using the rule in clause 5.5: an integer from 0 to 5, the dominant level reflected, outliers explained. The draft body is not public.

02The practice

What it means when you apply it

Aggregation is where a good evaluation is often lost. A mean that hides one principle at level 0 is worse than no aggregate at all; the example shows the outlier being discussed rather than averaged away.

The aggregation step is deliberately modest: one rule, applied consistently, with outliers kept visible. A group that changes the rule between entities has no group result, only a set of local ones with a number on top.

The clause reference is the draft's public contents heading. From clause 4 onwards the body is not in the free preview, so this page states the public heading, the model it draws on and our own reading, and does not present the draft's text.

03What to record

What to keep beside the evaluation

The aggregation worksheet, the method used, and a note on every outlier.

  • The clause reference and the edition you read, so a later reader can check it.
  • The decision it supports, with an owner and a date.
  • The link to the requirement rows it frames, so the clause is not an orphan page in the file.

The annex body is not in the public preview. This page describes the step the draft's contents list names and the method in ISO 37004:2023 clause 6.5, and labels it as such.
